Power of Attorney

resized image 2A Power of Attorney appoints one or more people to act as your representative either for a specific task, or in general.  A Power of Attorney can operate at any time and can also be enduring (meaning that it will continue to operate if you lose capacity to make decisions for yourself).

A Power of Attorney allows the representative to act in relation to financial and property affairs, but does not allow the representative to make lifestyle decisions on your behalf.  We recommend that our clients also put in place an appointment of Enduring Guardian so that all decisions can be managed in the event that you are unable to make decisions for yourself.
