Do I need to attend your office in person?
Our preference is to meet with clients in person, however we are also also to offer video meetings and work remotely.
If you are in hospital, a nursing home or are unable to leave your home, then we can provide home visits.
My elderly relative needs a will, can I give you the instructions and bring them in to sign?
When taking will and estate planning instructions it is important that we take the instructions directly from the testator (the person who is putting the documents in place). There are a couple of reasons for this. Firstly, it means that we can provide third parties, for example the Supreme Court with detailed evidence of their capacity at the time they gave us instructions. Secondly, it protects the beneficiaries of a will. For example, if it was shown that the testator was influenced by someone else then it would be possible to dispute the validity of the Will. Please call us to discuss how best we can assist your elderly relative.
Where are you located?
We are located in Jannali in the Sutherland Shire, however we are able to assist clients in all areas of Sydney.
Is your office accessible for those with limited mobility?
Yes, our office is accessible for client's with decreased mobility as well as being suitable for those in wheelchairs.
Do you offer home, nursing home or hospital visits?
Yes, we can arrange a home, nursing home or hospital visit. Please contact us to discuss how we can assist in these circumstances.
What is your pricing?
At Harriss Jones Lawyers, some of our services are fixed fee and others are billed at hourly rates. We will always provide you with a clear cost disclosure and explain our professional fees to you either before or after our first meeting.
